This is the first update to the ‘google de-indexing your build a niche store site in the serps‘ article post a week or two ago.

Phase 1 of the build a niche store traffic strategy guide is complete and my site is now #1 , #2/3 and #5 (also #9/#15/#16/#18/#25) in the search engines. 2 of these are also indented listings with one being my Build a Niche Store and the other being my targeted content. So I’m happy with the results so fa, specially as my strategy is only around 15% in place.

Here is some of my organic Search placements

and another

Note that these are targetting brand names and the first placement is above the brand’s website itself and the second is only below the brands site but above the likes of wikipedia and amazon, which I think is rather cool.

i’m starting on phase 2 of the plan tonight but have phase 1 written up in note form so far so that I have the full blueprint at the end and can tweak any part that needs tweaking.

I will create a free report as well and add an opt in for this report in a few weeks time, so i know that it will be worth doing. No point sending people information if it isn’t going to work or needs to be reworked.

Well thats it for now… please post any comments or email me.

Over the past month is seems to have become apparent that google is de-indexes thousands of Build a Niche Store (BANS) stores. A strategy of many niche store owners was to simply create 90-100 sites over a 4-5 month period then create a some articles and gain some back links through squidoo and other authority sites sites. Once you had submitted your articles to ezine and other directories then socially bookmarked your bans site, articles and squidoo lenses you would gain some ranking based on your targeted niche keywords in the SERPS (google, yahoo etc). With some ranking you could generally make a few $’s a day from your sites which makes up a tidy little sum ($80-$100)  over a full month ($2000-3000) for very little work with no updates.

This all changed initially in august when google de-indexed all links from ezine and other article directories that pointed to sites with a standard BANS signature. Over the past month this has also started to happen with link backs to sites with BANS signatures. The thing is what can be done to stop your site being de-indexed???

Well, the answer is simple and is basically a single phrase ‘NEW AND REGULAR CONTENT’. The google algorithms seems to have changed and as they say ‘content is now king’ and regular new quality content will keep you in the serps. I’m not talking screen scraped or auto generated stuff and neither am I talking copied / duplicate content. We are talking fresh and unique content related to your niche store.

You must get rid of the standard BANS signature which has been in reality spammed to death in the SERPS, which is the reason why google is now clamping down.

I’m currently trying out a new strategy that involved a new type of one-way linking structure and a strategy that does allow new content to be added regularly. Initial results have been very promising as follows:

- Build a niche store created on 12th of October 2008
- Targeted niche keywords with traffic of around 25000 a month
- Created my content pages with specific links types back to by store
- Bookmarked the deep links
- Repeated my process for content once every 5 days

So far this has worked well and I have been indexes within 5 days and I now stand at number two with a indented listing within the SERPS. The site above me is a major brans with thousand of links in though I am above the likes of wikipedia and amazon. I have more to do with this strategy and have only completed around 5% of the work I need to carry out. So far due to the rankin I have also make a small pot of cash on the way so it is working well so far.

I will post updates on this strategy probablyonce every 3-4 weeks to ensure that the word carried out in that period is working and indexed in the search engines.

Well thats it for now.

Regards

Steve
